Whenever I stumble across the mindless propaganda of cultural apathy, that is, politically correct nonsense championing limitless immigration, seemingly without restriction, I feel the familiar disgust that so often suffocates me, like a filthy plastic shopping bag stretched tight over my face. I feel an overwhelming rage course through me; I feel saturated by it, by the words of the ubiquitously arrogant, greedy people who subscribe to doublethink. On this particular day it’s to be found within the Sunday edition of the Calgary Sun. I am shocked to discover a nasty bit of Liberal political propaganda subverting my right-leaning copy. I refer, specifically, to an article written by a “Liberal Strategist” and former Dalton McGuinty drudge by the name of Jim Warren.
Warren, quite obviously a ‘progressive’ (and undoubtedly a Neo-Marxist), has penned a troubling article entitled ‘Liking the new immigration policy’ that nicely encapsulates the sickening Liberal tendency urging open borders in Canada. Seldom have I read such a concise and blatant endorsement for Canadian mass Immigration. Seldom have I seen a summation that so casually, yet purposely touches upon so many of the mentally ill statist proponent clichés masquerading as truth today.
Warren launches in with an explanation of the new “and bold” Liberal government initiative to increase the number of immigrants allowed into Canada over the next three years. “One Million new immigrants will be admitted during that time”, a breathtaking number almost beyond belief. Yet the CBC confirms it, with almost hysterical enthusiasm, as the news is released , so I know it must be real.
The cause of this, Warren goes on to say, is not the election of Justin Trudeau and his merry band of fool Liberals. Rather, the grounds for the necessity, he explains, is faltering Canadian demographics. He explains that in 2015 senior citizens (those aged 65+) outnumbered children (beneath 14 years old) in Canada. This population gap invariably necessitates a migrant increase in the decades to follow, according to StatsCan.
And this upsurge in the aged naturally portends fewer people entering the work force, fewer people paying staggeringly high income taxes, and still fewer people “generating income to support more retirees whose life expectancy is longer than ever before”. For Liberals it always comes down to the money (yours and mine, not theirs) that necessarily must be spent, the social programs and the wealth redistribution for the benefit of the have nots, in this case, the elderly. Elder Canadians have a standard of living that they have come to expect, and we daren’t disrupt their utopian fantasy, even if it is ultimately destructive to everyone. The elderly, of course, are not the real demographic requiring drastic financial support, only the most politically correct. Let us look to the Natives, the homeless and… recent immigrants… for the real beneficiaries of the welfare system’s benevolent hand.
Making matters even worse, Warren persists, the [unwise] people of Canada are inexplicably “choosing” to have fewer children. They are “tending to be older and waiting longer than ever to have children. That’s if they decide to have children, as fewer and fewer Canadians are choosing to have children”. Such a mysterious phenomenon; he gives no explanation as to why this could possibly have come to pass. It’s just a fact, he seems to be affirming, impossible to change, like the waxing and waning of deer populations in nature or, in Liberal terminology, the melting of the polar ice caps due to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. He seems to imply that Canadians just aren’t fertile enough to have kids somehow.
It couldn’t be because people can no longer afford to reproduce in this country, that the cost of raising a family has grown restrictive if not overwhelming. An article from the Feb. 15, 2017 Globe & Mail called ‘Many Canadians too cash-strapped to raise children’ affirms that the price of raising a family is swiftly becoming prohibitive, if not impossible for many .“Faced with exorbitant daycare fees, skyrocketing housing costs and a declining standard of living (not to mention student-loan debt many people have to shoulder well into their 30’s), many Canadians say they simply can’t afford to start a family or have more than one child”, the editorial reads.
And it couldn’t be because of all the anti-family initiatives, the birth control and abortion clinics paid for as ‘health care’ through our morally corrupt government regimes. Anti-family, feminist agendas urge us all to consider ‘choice’ before life, as the abortion mills, what William D. Gairdner referred to as ‘the invisible holocaust’, continues to murder the future generations of this country at the expense of functional Canadian Citizens.
In 2010, the latest year on record, 64,641 abortions were performed in Canada, that is, over 60,000 human beings were intentionally destroyed before they were even born. The total number of abortions that have taken place between 1974 and 2010 in Canada is approximately 3,191,362 . Think about this for a moment: over 3 million rightful Canadian citizens murdered by Canadian medical institutions under the banner of choice. This, the altruists say with pride, is the mother’s right, her natural privilege. A mother’s right to ‘choose’ must rightfully supersede the life of her offspring, the wasted struggle of generations that came before her, and indeed, the very survival of Canada as a nation. I would offer a dead baby joke at this point, but the punchline could never come close to the reality brought to us by the Canadian health care system.
But not to worry, the article happily declares, there are “two ways to stop the growing age gap”. We can either choose to start having more children immediately, which is “unlikely” or we can choose the “only realistic alternative”…
that is, to increase the number of working Canadians to buttress our aging population: increase immigration! We need to attract the best and brightest immigrants from around the world to come to Canada, to take advantage of them. We need their labour to pay for our seniors and their health care.
This, literally, is what Warren argues.
In other words, according to the article, for the benefit of the elderly and those too stupid to breed, we as Canadians ought to sacrifice our country, to place it upon the alter of history and just hand over the birthright that justly belongs to our poor aborted children. In order to maintain our exorbitant, debt-laden lifestyles and continue to indulge ourselves into old age, as we have grown accustomed, we need a new working class of Huxley’s “Epsilons” brought in to turn the wheels of our work force lest we should find ourselves without janitors, cab drivers, security guards and sandwich artists.
But it’s okay, Warren says, we need to come around and start to “like” the new immigration policy. Doublethink makes possible even the most abhorrent prospective futures. “The debate over increasing immigration is over”, according to Warren. “We need more Canadians, and fast”, he says. Greed and gluttony have made conceivable the unthinkable: the abandonment of Canadian autonomy for the false hope that the trash of the third world can breathe life into our sick, misguided society. How dare this man refer to these socially degenerate, culturally antediluvian people as “Canadians.” These parasites, imported en-mass from the worst places on the planet are, to put it lightly, completely incompatible culturally with Canada as it now exists.
I can’t express my anger or my dread upon reading the vapid truisms put forth articles such as these. The fatalism engendered by the politically correct nonsense is so, so hard for me to swallow. If one has even the smallest remnant of national pride, it should be perceived as completely objectionable. If it wasn’t for the socialist agendas at work in Canada eroding gender, undermining sexuality and corrupting family values we might have a chance of repopulating our country using natural means. If not for the asinine policies of the Liberals, the NDP and the smooth-talking collectivists, people would not have traded their heritage for sexual debauchery and the unearned wealth of others courtesy of government redistribution.
I often wonder if I am alone in my disgust for what our government factions have deemed ‘normal’, ‘acceptable’ and ‘necessary’ in Canada. Massive unsustainable debt, wholesale immigration, the relentless taxation of the so-called ‘middle class’ (if such a thing even truly exists anymore) and the self-immolation of all that’s left of Canadian nationalism (many would argue that this never truly existed.)
But according to Jim Warren this talk is unreasonable. We need a million more people to support us, like some Atlas taking up the Canadian burden of humanity upon his shoulders for the sake of the weak. Our primary concern is to stuff our faces and forget the struggles of our ancestors while our cultural uniqueness is hurled down the memory hole of history.
Never mind that most immigrants are not actually going to take up the burden of our society or support our entitled elderly class as predicted by the article. Rather, they promise to encumber it further, adding more dead weight to an already unbelievably expensive welfare system and delivering a deathblow to our already foundering health care system. More debt, more money owed by our children’s generation in support of cultural appropriators that we allowed in, and more debauchery of Canadian values and moral structures. Many thanks to the fools who made it all possible, like you Jim Warren.
I’m reminded of an excerpt from George Owell’s ‘1984’:
“He gazed up at the enormous face. Forty years it had taken him to learn what kind of smile was hidden beneath the dark moustache. O cruel, needless misunderstanding! O stubborn, self-willed exile from the loving breast! Two gin-scented tears trickled down the sides of his nose. But it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother”.
Like Winston Smith, the protagonist of ‘1984’, so too must we apparently learn to embrace that which we know to be innately false. We must start to believe in that which we fundamentally hate and to accept the misguided beliefs of a government that has betrayed its country and all that it stands for. And we must start to ‘like’ the new immigration policies brought forth by Liberal strategists, despite our misgivings and the profound feeling that it’s all false, all misguided, and all a terrible lie.
